This experience invites teams to step into the world of filmmaking and create their own short film together.

Guided by a professional director, participants form small production crews and take on different roles — from actors and directors to camera operators and editors. Through storytelling, collaboration, and creativity, teams move from idea to production and finally to a shared cinema-style screening where all films are presented.

The experience transforms a group of colleagues into a real film crew — working together, solving creative challenges, and building something memorable as a team.

Experience led by Kaloyan Paterkov

Kaloyan Paterkov is an actor and film director with over a decade of experience in theatre, cinema, and television. He studied Acting for Theatre at the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts and later Film Directing at New Bulgarian University, working with renowned Bulgarian directors Stefan Komandarev and Georgi Dyulgerov.

Today, he guides teams through the filmmaking process, turning groups into creative film crews where collaboration, storytelling, and improvisation come naturally.

Program

The experience follows the structure of a real film production, adapted for a team environment.

Participants begin with an introduction to the filmmaking process and a briefing from the director. Teams are then formed and roles are assigned within each production crew.

From there, teams develop a simple storyline and begin filming. The director guides the process while allowing teams to experiment, improvise, and shape their own creative approach.

The day concludes with a cinema-style screening, where all films are presented and celebrated together.

How the experience work and what’s included

The experience may include:

Professional editing and preparation for screening
Throughout the experience, teams are supported by a professional film director and technical guidance. All equipment and facilitation are provided so participants can focus on creativity, teamwork, and the joy of filmmaking.

Each team creates a short film up to 5 minutes long, and the entire experience typically lasts 3–4 hours of filming followed by an evening screening.
